Skebo has student housing in several areas in Skellefteå, all within walking distance to both the Campus and the city center. There are furnished student rooms where broadband, heat, and water are included in the fixed and low monthly rent - and unfurnished apartments where you arrange contracts for electricity and internet yourself. In the unfurnished student apartments, there is a possibility to continue living even after completing your studies. Regardless of the accommodation you choose, you will have a safe and flexible start to your study time. Welcome to a wonderful study period!

Getbergsvägen/Humlegatan, Getberget: Studios and 1-bedroom apartments of 33-55 sqm. Apartments with private kitchen and bathroom. Parking spaces available.

Campus area, Laboratorgränd, Sunnanå/Sörböle: Temporary student rooms in the Campus area. 220 rooms of approximately 10 sqm. Shared kitchen, private toilets with shower. These student rooms will be discontinued, which means no new students will be offered places here. Students already living in the modules will be allowed to stay until the final shutdown in summer 2026.

How to book a student room
- Create a user on "My Pages" on skebo.se.
- Register an interest in a student apartment.
- Upload your acceptance letter/study certificate under the tab "Upload documents".
- Book a student room by clicking on "Declare interest" for the student room you wish to book. You can only book one room. Student rooms are published on Tuesdays (around 5:00 AM). Please note that we are currently not publishing vacated student rooms continuously. All available student apartments will be published from Tuesday week 27 and then posted every Tuesday thereafter.
- Once you have booked a student room, the room will be removed from the website, and Skebo will contact you thereafter.
- To rent a student room, you must be covered by the housing guarantee described further down on this page.
- Key pick-up takes place during office hours, Monday - Friday at Skebo's head office on Skeppargatan 8 for Skebo's student apartments.
All student room rentals are handled by Skebo. You book your student accommodation here on the website, and if you have any questions, contact us at Skebo, phone 0910-73 65 00. You can also email your questions to our customer center.
Rules for Student Rooms
Student rooms are rented out as BoDirekt - No points required, meaning that the apartment goes to the first person who expresses interest. You can keep your queue points after getting your student room. The points can be used for a permanent apartment later in life as long as you keep your user active and log into my pages at least every 12 months.
To rent a student room, you must be enrolled at one of Campus Skellefteå's universities or be accepted to another post-secondary education (Yrkeshögskolan, etc.). The education must be at least 18 weeks long and correspond to at least half-time studies. This means that individuals enrolled in shorter courses are not eligible to rent a student room. Acceptance letters must also be submitted to Skebo.
The termination period is 2 months. Room switching can be done earliest 3 months after the contract date. Termination of student rooms must be done in writing via email or letter.
It is important that you terminate your apartment before the summer if you know you will not be studying in Skellefteå in the fall. Otherwise, you risk blocking the chance for new students to get accommodation. Illegal subletting leads to immediate termination.
Key handover for Skebo's student apartments takes place during office hours at the head office on Skeppargatan 8.

Note! You must apply for a student room at least 30 days before coming to Skellefteå.
The tenant agrees to terminate the room for vacating immediately after completing their studies, with a two-month notice period.
Only one person is allowed to reside in our student rooms.
Living as a Student
Our accommodations for students are specifically tailored for student needs.
For students, the rent, like regular apartments, is divided over 12 months with a two-month notice period.
The student rent has its annual rental change on August 1st.
As a student living on Villagatan and Staregatan, you have free access to 100 Mbps internet and do not pay any fixed fees. The services are provided by Bredband2. Of course, there are no start-up fees or other costs to get started. On Campus and in the city center, you can use wireless connectivity at no cost.
Internet is not included in our student residences at Lejongapet Getberget.
Out of consideration for allergics and overall comfort, all premises are smoke-free and pet-free.
All residents in the student corridor have shared responsibility for cleaning in the corridor, kitchen, common areas for socializing, and other communal spaces such as the laundry room, sauna, etc.
It is also important to show consideration, keep noise levels low during evenings and nights, and take care of the room in a healthy manner.
The room should be thoroughly cleaned when you move out. If the room is not clean enough, we will charge a cleaning fee. Also, remember to empty your apartment/room and storage, if you have one.
